Chronology of cameras Ricoh
With the Model VII, Riken introduced multiple versions of the Ricohflex, sometimes without indicating the version on the front plate.
This is the case with this camera equipped with a Seikosha shutter, making it the most high-performing sheet metal Ricohflex in the entire series, including the Super-Ricohflex.
It indeed allows for shutter speeds from 1s to 1/500, only missing a self-timer.
Starting from the Model VII, the Ricohflex cameras saw a modification to the viewfinder cap: slots made in the cap allowed for quick eye-level framing similar to the Voigtländer Kontur viewfinder.
The outlines of the 6x6 and 24x36 frames become visible when aiming with both eyes open.
